Like many, I’m a Tina Fey fan, so I was excited to watch Mr. Mayor, a show she created, starring Ted Danson. The comedy follows Danson as a newly-elected, incompetent-but-well-meaning mayor of Los Angeles, who rose to his position because of an apathetic electorate (low voter turnout). The mayor’s colleagues include a group of inept and narcissistic professionals.
The audience enjoys multiple actor cameos, including David Spade and Andie MacDowell. (The show is set in LA after all.)
No comedy does incompetent politician like Veep does, but Mr. Mayor is a fun show that can be watched with the entire family.
