It might seem funny to recommend To Kill a Mockingbird, but FotE just listened to the audiobook, so I’m here simply to remind you to consider the book for your next family drive – not to claim an insight that no one else has had.
I had remembered enjoying To Kill a Mockingbird, but I didn’t remember how magnificent it really is. The turns of phrase are so beautiful and the sentiments are so clear and humane, all coming from the mouth of an elementary school narrator. So much can be said through her voice – and it all is.
Sissy Spacek reads the audiobook, and I cannot imagine anyone on earth could have done a better job.
The whole experience was absolutely magical. I recommend it highly.
