A Hilarious Comedy for Adults and Mature Kids When You’re on the Edge

This was FoTE’s and my second time watching Flight of the Conchords (Seasons 1 and 2), and I loved the musical comedy just as much as the first time. The show follows Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie (names of both the characters and the actors) as “New Zealand’s 4th most popular” folk band trying to make it as down-and-out, unpopular-with-the-ladies, undocumented immigrants in New York City. They desperately seek more than one fan (brilliantly played by Kristen Shaal), but their manager Murray (hilarious Rhys Darby) ineptly foils any attempts at promoting them.

If you aren’t sure this is for you (it is), take a look at some of my favorite songs, including Business Time, Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros, and Bret You’ve Got It Going On. Crazy funny.
