Can you Believe It? Three More Great Podcasts (for Adults) When You’re on the Edge

1.CIDRAP – I’ve tried to stay away from a lot of COVID-related topics in my blog entries, but epidemiologist Dr. Michael Osterholm is my rock when it comes to up-to-date, scientific, apolitical, measured COVID information. Speaking from his post at the University of Minnesota, this world-renowned expert gives you scientific substantiation for his remarks about COVID and admits what he doesn’t know. Plus, he starts off dedicating each podcast to a group of people and frequently ends it with song lyrics. You’ll want to hug this scientist.

2.The Axe Files – David Axelrod, former senior advisor to Barack Obama, interviews tremendously interesting people like Doris Kearns Goodwin, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and Lin Manuel Miranda. Nuff said.

3.Where Should We Begin? Thanks to Dad on the Walk for this recommendation. Esther Perel, the world-famous Belgian psychologist and author, lets us listen in on some real couples’ counseling sessions. The marital therapy is sad, happy, uncomfortable, and fascinating. Sometimes Perel comes off as brilliantly insightful and other times, she seems to miss the point, but she is always compelling.
